What things should I know about creating and running a guild?
Basic trancers can create one guild. Trancers who have an account
upgrade can create more than one guild. It costs 2000 Echos to create a guild. If you want to join a guild, the cost is 100 echos. The Echos spent for joining a guild or creating a guild are not transferred to anyone`s account.
You can change the banner for your guild. It must be a banner
you created yourself. Secret Trance does not provide any pre-made
banners except the default one. Use the Description section to talk about what the guild is about and what rules you have for the guild. The news section is for any updates to the guild, contests or whatever else you want to talk about relating to the guild. Trancers can leave messages on the guild page. These messages are for discussions of the guild`s topic. You can remove people who have joined your guild.
You can also add trances to your guild. It works similar to the
favourites. But make sure you use the button labeled "Add to Guild" in order to add the trance to your guild. You can remove these from your guild later on. But be careful, some people may not like their trances being displayed in a guild. It`s best to ask the artist or author first before you add their material to your guild. Make sure the trances you add have a relation to what the guild is about. (Ie, if your guild is about vampires, don`t add trances of a towel to your list.) I also recommend that it be trances from your guild members, though this isn`t a rule.
If your trance has been added to a guild, and you don`t want
the guild to display your trance, first send a private message to the owner to remove that trance. If they do not remove it within a week, contact a moderator or administrator.
Guilds can be about a lot of different subject matters. They can be about objects, art styles, shows, a particular animal, and more. Some examples of good guilds are:
Cat Fan Club
Sonic the Hedgehog Fans
Against Animal Cruelty
Digital Vampire Art
However, there are some subjects that are not permitted for guilds to be based on. These kinds of guilds will be removed and all participants (the guild owner and members) will have their accounts suspended or removed. Some examples of bad guilds are (but not limited to):
