My cousin gave the idea for a scene in this episode, so this episode is built up around that idea.
=========================
This next session is the lunch period. Before they go to the cafeteria, Amy first needs to make a stop into the girls bathroom. Rouge and Blaze accompany her while the guys wait outside.

Amy exits the stall and comes to one of the sinks. She washes her hands off, dries them up and then checks herself in the mirror. She sets her headband on the side of the sink and brushes her hair out. Blaze takes a sink beside her and begins washing her hands. Rouge, at the sink beside Blaze, has no need for any of the stalls. She has been adjusting her make-up with the use of the mirror. Amy puts her headband back into it`s original place. She double checks herself in the mirror and turns around to walk out of the bathroom.

Standing before Amy is Wave. Wave has her hands on her hips in what would be best described as the fashion most commonly seen for cheerleaders or other "preppy" girls to do. She seems to be looking at Amy pretty seriously. Amy can`t help but give a nervous smile and slightly shrug her shoulders. Wave looks down at Amy`s feet and then looks back up to Amy`s face,"What do you think you`re doing?"

Wave`s voice holds a rather snobby tone. Amy`s nervous smile drops, on the brink of seeming angry at Wave`s attitude,"What are you talking about?"

"That goth guy."

"What about Shadow?"

"You, one of the most popular girls in school, happy-happy girl...Is having Mr. Doom and Gloom tagging along behind her?"

"Shadow is a friend. I`ve known him a long time."

Wave raises an eyebrow,"Friend, huh?"

"Yes, a friend!"

Amy upturns her nose slightly at Wave and then walks off from her to exit the bathroom. Rouge and Blaze follow behind Amy, both giving Wave their own not-so-friendly looks. Wave watches the three of them leave the bathroom and pays no mind to the looks she is receiving from two of the girls.

The girls of the Sonic gang happily re-unite with the guys. Normally any confrontation in the girls bathroom is kept among themselves. However, because it was a confrontation made by Wave, the girls feel the need to share this with the guys.

If Wave involves herself in something, her buddies Jet and Storm won`t be too far behind. So, if those two get involved, things can get pretty nasty. They will usually call upon other buddies to join in the mess. This group, called the Babylonians, often has conflicts with the Sonic gang. When the Babylonians start a fight with the Sonic gang, it is often aggressive and possessive, sometimes even just a simple bullying.

When the two groups get together to fight against one another, they are often compared to gang fights. Almost every time, it is the Babylonians who start the fight and the Sonic gang are fighting in defense. It seems to be that the Babylonians fight for superiority. Everyone in school, and even throughout the cities and zones, are familiar with both groups. Currently, the Sonic gang is ranked top in popularity. The Babylonians boast that they are better and try to prove it by fighting the Sonic gang. Because of their aggressive and insistent attacks on the Sonic gang, the Babylonians have raised the awareness of their gang, but have gained themselves a notorious reputation. It is no wonder that the Sonic gang are on alert when the Babylonians make contact with them.

The girls quickly alert the guys about the situation with Wave as they head to their usual table in the cafeteria. Once they reach their table, the tale of Wave`s encounter is completed. Sonic is quite concerned over this,"This isn`t good. They`re definitely watching us."

Fang sets his messenger bag down on the table where he is about to seat himself at,"What do you think has got their underpants in a knot this time?"

Sonic puts one fist on his hip while his free hand gestures for him,"My suspect is that they saw Shadow hanging around us and they probably think we`re amassing ourselves into a larger army or something."

Rouge folds her arms,"Even if we were, what could they do about it?"

Espio speaks up after he has sat himself at the edge of the table,"They might try to take someone out. Go after the smallest or the weakest one."

Silver quickly steps up after Espio`s input,"We better watch the kids then."

Sonic nods his head,"Yeah, they might go after them."

Amy looks at Sonic,"Wave especially has some issue with Tails."

Sonic looks back at Amy,"Then he might be their first target."

Mighty takes a bite out of an apple he had brought with him as his own home-prepared lunch for the day,"Luckily, because they`re in school with us, there are times when they`ll be safe. We should definitely hurry to the elementary school when classes are over and pick up the kids."

Sonic nods his head,"Right, no detours."

The Sonic gang have a quick plan formed. This will allow them some extra time to figure out a more long-term plan. The Babylonians are known for not giving up very easily. If they decide they want to do some damage, they will keep coming back over and over until they complete their goal. The Sonic gang may be watching over the children for quite some time.

Everyone takes their seat at the table. Amy sits between Sonic and Shadow, with Shadow at the end of the table across from Espio. No one in the group enjoys the school food. Most of everyone has brought their own food from home. Those who couldn`t bring their own food, usually get some from the others. Shadow is among the few who has not brought any food with him. Noticing this, Amy gives him a bag of chips. She usually can`t eat the chips as she gets full from other stuff. Normally, Vector scarfs up her chips but he always has plenty of food anyways. Shadow takes the bag of chips and looks over the bag before he attempts to open it.

Knuckles speaks to Sonic in between the grapes he`s eating,"Do you think we should let the kids know about what`s going on?"

Sonic shakes his head,"Not yet, I don`t want them getting scared."

A lot of rustling and crinkling beside her catches Amy`s attention. She turns to Shadow who seems to be having trouble opening the bag of chips. She looks at Shadow concernly,"Would you like me to help you with that?"

A slight grunt and Shadow responds,"I can handle it."

"Well, all right..."

Knuckles` large hand grips his chin thoughtfully,"True, we definitely can`t tell Cream. She`s the most sensitive and would get really scared."

Rouge jumps in on Sonic and Knuckles` conversation,"Right. She wouldn`t even want to go to school."

Silver, who is sitting next to Sonic, looks at Sonic,"What about Tails? He seems to be pretty brave. I think he could handle the news."

Sonic looks back at Silver,"I don`t want to alarm him if we are able to avoid the thing entirely."

"Ah I see."

Suddenly the bag of chips Shadow is struggling to open is thrown down on the table. The noise of it catches the attention of everyone at the table. Vector is about to question Shadow if he was going to eat the chips when Shadow quickly rises up to his feet. Amy says Shadow`s name, about to question him in his actions. However, she stops herself when Shadow fumbles through his jacket and pulls out a Colt 45 hand gun and aims it at the bag of chips.

In what seems like a split second, everyone at the table rise to their feet. Espio scrambles from his place to get out of the way in case the bullet decides to bounce off the table and go in his direction. The quickest way to get out of the path of the bullet is for Espio to throw himself down to the floor. Amy, Sonic and the others begin to back away from Shadow. Shadow pulls the trigger and the bullet blasts into the back of chips with an unmistakable bang. The bag explodes and pieces of the chips fly in various directions.

Everyone in the cafeteria is sent into a panic. Never before has there been gun fire in their school. All the students, and school staff as well, all begin to evacuate the school in one mass herd. Everyone begins to scream and try to beat one another to the front door to hurriedly get outside. No one has any idea who fired the gun or who the gun fire was intended for.

The Sonic gang decide to leave the school with them. It is the best way to retain their innocence. Amy grabs Shadow by his arm and pulls him with her as she flees with the rest of her friends. She commands him to put his gun away before someone sees him with it, in which he complies. The two of them stick close with the rest of their friends as they try to get out of the school with all the other people that are scrambling to exit the school.

Everyone who gets outside immediately run to get some distance between them and the school. The school staff have their work cut out for them. One of them has to call the police while the others work to get everyone to stay within field sight of the school. They can`t let anyone go until the police do an investigation of the school.

Sitting outside in a field of grass, the students and staff of the Station Square high school watch the police pass them by and enter the school to investigate. A few police officers begin to question the students and school staff about the single gun shot fired in the cafeteria. Whether or not anyone saw that it was Shadow is unknown to the Sonic gang. But when the gang is questioned by the police, they all play dumb and pretend to have not seen anything. The police then move on to question others on the incident. The Sonic gang do their best to play it cool even tough they all were thinking the same thing.

Sonic folds his arms and looks at Amy with a serious look on his face. Amy can`t read his mind but she knows that he is upset and is going to want to talk to her about something later when things cool down. Amy turns to Shadow with nothing but worry on her face. Shadow isn`t paying any attention to anyone in the group. He`s watching the police crew very closely.

That was close...
