Once again, as a reminder, do not make any editing or corrections to this, do not point to me of any mistakes. I will not make corrections. I`m leaving this mostly as is of what it was when Tojo and I rped this out. We both have different rp styles so expect there to be some inconsistencies in things such as apostrophes and tenses.
=========================
Over the hill came a medium sized dog. Almost comically, it had a helmet strapped to its head that it could not remove, dragging a rifle from its straps, and a bit of a uniform still on him; characteristically, it was black, with the letters "G.U.N." on its side. Shadow looked at it with a bemused expression. "...?"

"Hmph! He`s pretty slow. Typical of GUN, isn`t it, you two? Slow at everything, even thinking."

'..!' The dog suddenly barked, growling, then leaping at Wave, teeth and claws bared. Shadow just watched this in silence, slowly looking towards Maria; it was more than likely Jacob from the Arc..he was the first to walk through the portal, after all.

"Rrr! You mangy mutt!"

Wave uses her gear board like a shield to block the dog from landing his attacks on her.

Maria`s eyes open a little,"What? ...GUN is here, too...?"

Her voice wavers a little at the end like she is worried.

Getting knocked back, he fell to the ground, shaking its head a few times; presumably to straighten the over-sized helmet..

Shadow knelt down beside her, holding out his hand. "Shh..shh..just rest..it's just a dog dressed in a GUN uniform.."

What would a dog be dressed as GUN for? Maria`s face changes to a bewildered one,"What?"

Wave sets her gear up in which it immediately starts to float off the ground and she hops on top. The gear board immediately zooms off and she speeds towards Shadow and Maria. Anger is on her face though mostly from the unexpected attack from the dog.

"...!" Shadow suddenly lifted her up and tried running off; he was left vulnerable by doing this, however, open for attack. His usual normal powers weren't cooperating in this world.

The dog started to bound after Wave, despite not being an immediate threat or danger to her, and his failed attack.

Wave ignores the dog and keeps her aim on Shadow and Maria. She pulls out her trusty wrench from her side pocket, a big one. She smirks as she gets herself into position for a small attack.

Maria grasps the front of Shadow`s shirt with both hands and has her head facing his shirt as well.

Once her gear brings her next to Shadow yet a little behind him, Wave takes a swing at Shadow with her wrench.

The wrench hit its mark square on the back of his head, he suddenly stumbled forwards, dropping Maria accidentally. His eyes clenching shut, it was a miracle he didn't fall; slowly, he started to feel the strike-zone, grimacing in pain. Noticeably, there was a trickle of blood. "..Nhgnng..!"

The dog continued to bound after Wave, focusing much of his attention on her.

Wave makes a short laugh at Shadow`s misfortune and her gear picks up a sudden burst of speed and she zooms off over the hill and out of sight.

When Maria is dropped, she lands on her side on the ground. She makes only a small noise as she hits the ground. After a moment she begins to lift herself up to a sitting position but still on her side. Fully aware of what Wave has done, Maria looks to Shadow with full concern,"Shadow, are you all right?"

"...." Clenching his fist, gritting his teeth, he catches sight of Wave going over the hill, not to mention the GUN dog chasing after her. It was shortly after that Shadow looked down towards Maria, his expression softening slightly; his concern was for her safety rather than his own. "..I'm.. sorry that I dropped you..I'm fine, Maria. Did I hurt you in the fall..?"

Gently lifting her up, starting to walk towards a mountain to the west.

Maria decides to not alarm Shadow any more than what he already is about her condition. She hugs him while he carries her,"I`m all right..."

Her hand subconsciously goes to the back of his head but it stops before going too far. She looks at her hand from over Shadow`s shoulder and sees his blood on her hand. Her mouth drops open as this is the revelation to her that he was bleeding,"Shadow..."

"..Yes?" *Shadow was ignoring it, or rather..doing his best to ignore it; he seemed to have a high tolerance of pain. His devotion and sense of duty protecting her did not waver, and a great amount of discipline allowed him to persevere. Though occasionally, he did wince.. they were nearing the mountain.

Maria`s expression shifts to a worried one as her gaze doesn`t move from seeing his blood on her hand,"You`re bleeding..."

"..Don't worry about me..you're sick, you need to rest.."

Still carrying her along, for a while, he managed to march onwards. At some point as they got closer to the mountain, he began to stumble around. "..Nghn.."

Maria immediately picks up on this,"Shadow, stop."

"..N-no.. we're going to keep going.."

Giving her a faked smile, she could tell he was having problems. Leaning against the rock wall of a cave, he looked within; seeing that the coast was clear, he began to walk inside. There was a small pool of water coming from a cavern-stream. Shadow continued to stumble about, wincing. "..I'm so useless..ugh.."

Maria`s voice grows more worrisome,"Shadow, you have to stop."

Suddenly slamming his side against a rock wall, he shielded her from any bumps or scratches, slowly sliding down; she was now in his lap, his arms still holding onto her. Leaning back against the wall, he panted a bit, seemingly dizzy..possibly from blood loss. "..."

Maria gives Shadow a quick tight hug with her eyes closed. He can feel her body rise up inside then fall. She releases him and climbs out of his lap. She goes over to the water that is in the cave here with them. She`s certainly not as strong as Shadow so it takes her a lot more effort but she tears off the bottom ring of her dress, the whole way round. Then she tears off another ring. She crouches down and dips one of the cloth rings into the water to soak it. Then she comes back to Shadow. She sits down on her knees in front of Shadow. Maria sets down the dry cloth on her lap and keeps the wet one in one hand. Her free hand reaches over and goes to the back of Shadow`s head. Her hand gently guides his head down to her shoulder. Now she uses the wet cloth to get his wound cleaned up.

Shadow was leaning against her at this point. He quivered and shook a few times as she began to use the cloth to clean his wound, realizing she wasn't resting; he began to mumble quietly. "..No, don't..you should be.."

So he wouldn't be leaning against her, he began to lean side-ways into the rock wall, turning so she could more easily see the wound and continue. "..I..I should have been more careful..I should have took her down.."

Closing his eyes as she continued to clean and patch the wound, he let out a long drawn out sigh.

Maria does her best to remain calm despite how worried she is over the amount of blood he has lost. Seeing his blood haven to of ran down the his backside from left to bleed is a terrible sight for her. Her voices comes out quiet and soft as she examines the wound,"Shhhh..."

With her hands continuing to move ever so gently, she takes the dry cloth and gets it wrapped around his head to serve as a makeshift bandage. Even though he has already lost a lot, she needs to be sure he doesn`t loose any more.

Occasionally, Shadow moved his head to the left slightly, to allow her to continue wrapping it around the wound. He didn't say anything, just looked towards her at times with half-closed eyes. At some point, he spoke out in a whisper. "...I'm sorry, Maria..."

Laying back against the rock wall, leaning back after the make-shift bandage had been applied.

Maria makes a small, tired smile to Shadow. She moves herself to sit next to Shadow. Once in position, she leans over to the side to lean into his shoulder. Her eyes slowly close themselves.

Shadow stayed awake for a good while, before finally giving into his body's needs. With a yawn, he hoped they were well-hidden, shortly after falling to sleep. They were some-what left vulnerable, but at least they were no longer out in the open.
